The sky as a first homeland
My fascination with the cosmos, with its unexplained distances and its secrets, did not begin with study — it was my first impulse, there from the earliest days of childhood. While other children played within the limits of the material world, my eyes and my thoughts were turned to the night sky, to the constellations, and to the question of what lies beyond the visible horizon.
The sense that we are not alone — that the vast and the far is tied to us by invisible, subtle threads — followed me like a quiet inward call.
The first books, and meeting the stellar code
The turning point came when the first real books on astrology reached my hands. A thirst to understand the symbols turned into a passionate search. The moment that set my path for good was meeting the work of Marion March and Joan McEvers — The Only Way to Learn Astrology.
That book was not reading; it was the key that opened a gate onto ancient knowledge. Through its pages I understood that astrology is exact and mystical at once — a meeting of mathematics, symbolism and the deep psychology of the human soul. From that moment, studying charts became a daily practice and a way of living.
Academic training and the hermetic path
What I had gathered from books soon asked for a formal structure. I crowned it by enrolling at the Johannes Kepler Institute for Astrological Research in Belgrade, where, mentored by leading practitioners, I earned a recognised diploma and deepened my methods in natal, mundane and predictive astrology.
My calling did not stop there. Joining traditional astrology to the hermetic principles of ancient wisdom, I came to practise as a hermetic astrologer. My work centres on the hermetic law “As above, so below” — so a client receives not only a reading of the chart, but an understanding of the energetic mechanisms behind it, consecrated talismans, and methods for working with one’s own fate.
A stellar resonance with Kepler
It is worth noting that Johannes Kepler himself — whose name the institute carries — was not only an astronomer but a hermeticist, who held that the planets in their harmony make an inaudible but perfect “music of the spheres”. Just as Kepler joined science to mysticism, my work through The Stellar Atelier tries to keep that same spark alive: astrology is not the mere prediction of fate, but a conscious alignment with the music of the universe.

Introduction: looking into one’s own sky
When I look at the map of the sky at the moment of my first breath, I do not see dry astronomical data or static symbols on paper. I see the living structure of a soul, the intricate web of archetypes and paths I chose to walk in this life. I am Ivana Petrovska, born at a winter dawn in Kumanovo, under a deep, visionary and freedom-loving sky.
My identity is not of one piece; it is woven from opposites that keep looking for balance. In this reading I analyse my own natal chart from the position of an inward observer — one who lives these aspects and tries to understand them objectively at the same time.
1. First impression and life path: Ascendant in Sagittarius (22°27’)
My step into the world is coloured by Sagittarius. With the ascendant at the 22nd degree of this fire sign, I approach the world with an innate optimism, a hunger for knowledge and an unquenchable wish to widen the horizon. My outward personality is seen as a seeker of truth, a philosopher, an eternal traveller.
The placement gives me a recognisable enthusiasm and charisma, and it also binds me to a constant search for higher meaning. My chart ruler, Jupiter, sits in Scorpio in the eleventh house at 13°09’ — which means my search is not a shallow one: I look for deep, transformative truths through collective work, great friendships and shared ideals.
2. The core: Sun in Aquarius in the second house (07°58’)
My Sun shines in the visionary sign of Aquarius. At the root of me I am independent, original and turned toward the future. I do not tolerate moulds or imposed authority; my mind works through invention and humanism.
That the Sun falls in the second house — traditionally the house of material resources, values and self-worth — says that I invest my energy in building an independent value system of my own. Material security is not an end in itself for me, but the means by which I secure personal freedom.
3. The emotional ocean: Moon in Leo in the eighth house (15°24’)
While my outward self reads as approachable and rational, my inner emotional life holds a dramatic and intense landscape. My Moon is in the proud, fiery sign of Leo, but placed in the mystical, deep eighth house.
It is a complex combination: I need to be recognised, loved and valued (Leo), yet those feelings stay hidden from public view, deep in the labyrinths of the eighth house — the house of transformation, crisis, the occult and other people’s resources. Meeting loss and inner crisis is my greatest opportunity for emotional maturity.
4. Mind and communication: a stellium in Aquarius
Besides the Sun, my second house holds a true stellium in Aquarius — Venus (10°36’) and Mercury (23°38’), and Saturn right at the end, at 29°54’. My thinking is quick, intuitive and unconventional. I communicate easily, but always from a distance, reaching for objectivity.
Saturn in this stellium brings the seriousness, discipline and structure I need. Avant-garde ideas are mine by nature; Saturn is what makes me materialise them and set them on stable ground.
5. The generational imprint: Uranus, Neptune and Mars in Capricorn
My first house holds the conjunction of Neptune (21°11’) and Uranus (23°58’) in Capricorn, while Mars sits on the very threshold of the second house at 29°58’ Capricorn. The placement brings a strong sense of ambition and practical spirituality into my character.
Uranus and Neptune on the ascendant make me someone who brings change, who carries strong intuition and vision — but through the structure and discipline of Capricorn. My Mars in Capricorn is in its exaltation: it gives me endurance, a work ethic, and the ability to plan strategically.
Conclusion: integrating the symphony
My natal chart is a map of integration. I am the bridge between fire (Sagittarius and Leo), which moves me to act, to seek meaning and to express pride, and air (Aquarius), which asks for intellectual distance, humanism and objectivity.
I am not a victim of my planetary aspects; I am their active maker. Every square, sextile and conjunction in my chart is a tool I use to write my own biography — the biography of a woman who looks ahead without fear, holds to her principles, and is not afraid of the depths of her own soul.
